We are delighted to announce that the 19th International Symposium and 11th International Conference on Lameness in Ruminants will be held from 6th to 9th September 2017 in Munich.
The Symposium theme is Lameness in Ruminants: Mobility, Health and Animal Welfare. The programme will:
- review what we have learnt about lameness so far,
- bring together the most current information about lameness control methods with particular emphasis on evidence based treatment, and
- look to the future where Knowledge Exchange and On-farm Extension are going to play an important role in helping farmers to control this problem.

Join us in Munich for the 19th International Symposium and 11th International Conference on Lameness in Ruminants. The conference follows on from the enormously successful meetings in recent years.
A three and a half day international Conference/Symposium dedicated to sharing knowledge and discussing ideas about lameness in ruminants. The programme will feature nationally and internationally renowned keynote speakers, free papers, posters, a one-day on-farm workshop and an excellent social experience.
This conference has a great tradition of interaction, outstanding speakers and sharing of recent research findings and recommendations. Learn more about lameness in ruminants, network with a whole group of people interested in finding solutions to the lameness problem and showcase your own ideas and work.
The symposium will include researchers, veterinary surgeons, claw trimmers, farmers, industry representatives and just about anyone with an interest in ruminant lameness.

This event is intended for those with an academic interest in hoof health including, but not limited to, research scientists, postgraduates, practicioners, hoof trimmers, pharmaceutical representatives and those in industry. This event will cover topics encompassing many facts of hoof health, it is nonetheless a valuable contribution to the scientific discussion and should also be of interest to practitioners. Using a multi-professional and inter-specialty approach, and an international setting, this event promises plenty of opportunity for discussion and debate set in an informal atmosphere.
